Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich malt, citrus and ripe stone and tropical fruit, with cinnamon-like spice, soft smoke and a touch of peat.

Palate: Full and rich, with orange, warming spice, oak, dark chocolate and coffee; gentle peat underpins the fruit.

Finish: Long, with lingering fruit and spice, dry oak and gentle peat.

Summary

A 50% ABV, NAS Indian single malt from Amrut Distilleries in Bengaluru, Fusion marries malts made from predominantly Himalayan barley and a portion of peated Scottish barley; the components are distilled and matured separately in old and new American oak before being married. It is a rich, fruit-led and gently smoky style, balancing citrus, spice, oak and darker chocolate-and-coffee notes rather than heavy peat.
