Tasting Notes

Nose: Muscovado sugar and gentle pipe smoke, with baked apple, orange zest and warm baking spice.

Palate: Molasses and toffee apple lead into dry peat smoke, dried fruit, nutmeg and clove, with toasted oak and a little tobacco.

Finish: Gently fading sweet spice, dried fruit and lingering peat warmth.

The Legendary Midnight Silkie is a no-age-statement Irish blended whiskey bottled by Sliabh Liag Distillers at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered. Five triple-distilled Irish single malts, 35% of them peated, are combined from casks including sherry, bourbon, oloroso, red wine, virgin oak and imperial stout; the result is a rich but approachable sweet-and-smoky style with dried-fruit and spice notes.
