Palate: Soft, gently sweet peat and smoke lead into honey, sea salt, liquorice, black pepper and a touch of vanilla.

Finish: Lingering salinity and peppery warmth, with balanced peat smoke and a light fruity note.

Rock Island is Douglas Laing’s no-age-statement Islands blended malt, marrying single malts from Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney, among others. Bottled at 46.8% ABV without added colour or chill-filtration, it has a maritime, subtly smoky and lightly sweet character.
