Tasting Notes

Nose: Gentle seaside and flint smoke with baked apple, maple syrup, raisins, cereal biscuit, and soft cinnamon-clove spice.

Palate: Soft smoke, vanilla, toasted almond and dried fruit, with a smooth, lightly oily texture.

Finish: Toasted oak and lingering gentle smoke, with vanilla, red fruit, cinnamon and clove spice.

Summary

Torabhaig Taigh is the distillery’s first permanent core release, expressing its gently peated ‘Smoke with Taste’ house style. First-fill and refill bourbon casks provide the foundation, while selected Madeira casks add roundness; the result is a balanced, approachable coastal-smoky malt with apple, almond, dried-fruit and warm-spice character.

Interesting Facts

• Taigh is Scottish Gaelic for ‘house’; Torabhaig also frames it as ‘home’.
• It is Torabhaig’s first core expression and signature release, following the distillery’s Legacy Series releases.
• The whisky is bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration or added colouring.
